A group called Morality in Media just put out this press release, which comes very close to blaming mass murders on gay marriage. The headline on this little newsflash reads: Connecting the Dots: The Link Between Gay Marriage and Mass Murders
“This secular value system is also reflected in the ’sexual revolution,’ which is the driving force behind the push for ‘gay marriage;’ and the Iowa Supreme Court decision is another indication that despite all the damage this revolution has caused to children, adults, family life and society (think abortion, divorce, pornography, rape, sexual abuse of children, sexually transmitted diseases, trafficking in women and children, unwed teen mothers and more), it continues to advance relentlessly.
So I went and checked out good old Morality in Media’s website. Not only does the web design look like they’re selling a product seen on late, late night TV, but it appears that the group was originally established to combat pornography and it’s relationship to children:
MORALITY IN MEDIA, INC. was established in New York City in 1962 to combat pornography. Now national in scope, MIM works to inform citizens and public officials about the harms of pornography and about what they can do through law to protect their communities and children. MIM also works to maintain standards of decency on TV and in other media.
You’ve come a long way, baby. Instead of fighting against kids being exposed to porn or being used in porn, both worthwhile things to spend your time working on, you’re concocting half-baked theories about how gay marriage and mass murders are related. Again from the release:
On April 4 the NY Times ran adjacent front-page articles on the Iowa Supreme Court decision legalizing ‘gay marriage’ and the gunman who murdered 13 people in New York.
Oh, wait. I see how they’re related. Both a story about gay marriage and about a mass murder were on the front page of the New York Times. My bad. That is a very strong link.
